My calling and journey to becoming a midwife began with the home birth of our daughter. I started teaching classes as a Bradley® childbirth educator and attending births as a doula. I enrolled in the Association of Texas Midwives' Midwifery Training Program at the end of 2012 and completed my two-year clinical apprenticeship with a home birth midwife. In October of 2015 I graduated from the ATM Midwifery Training Program and completed my NARM exam to become a licensed midwife (LM) in the state of Texas. I also became credentialed as a certified professional midwife (CPM) through NARM. After licensing I worked in an out of hospital birth center for 6 months prior to starting my home birth practice.
I currently live in the Woodlands with my husband of fourteen years, and two daughters. I feel passionately about educating men and women about pregnancy and childbirth and find it rewarding to support couples during labor and birth in any way I can. When I am not teaching classes, attending a laboring woman, or reading, I enjoy preparing vegan meals, walking with my family, sewing, and crafting. I am excited to be serving the Lord through my home birth practice in the North Houston area and look forward to sharing the joys and beauty of pregnancy and birth with the families I'm privileged to serve.
